Hey everyone! It’s JP writing to you from Adventures In Missions in Gainesville, Georgia. How crazy is that?! This was all just a thought in December of last year and now it’s a reality. In another blog I’ll be sharing a TON of information about what they’re doing with our phones, a day in the life, covid restrictions, plus a little about my team! Today I want to share something the Lord has put on my heart this past week. Trust me when I say this has been one heck of a week, however the Lord has never been so clear on how I need to adjust my lens.

The other night during worship I was thanking the Lord for this opportunity, asking Him what he wanted to reveal to me this season. As I was praying, the word “focus” and “refocus” kept coming to mind. At first I didn’t know what the meaning behind that was, so I continued praying about it. Back at home I felt like I was focusing on everything rather than focusing on the Lord. I was hooked on placing all of my attention on worldly things such as my phone, work, money, things of accessibility and my friends. During this season I need to refocus. I need to abandon the life I once lived, where my eyes and heart once laid because my focus is all His. The way I see it is that we didn’t get saved to go to heaven, Jesus saved us to be effective.

During this season I really believe that the Lord wants me to adjust my lens. To adjust the way I view people, the way I speak to people, and the way I love people. The Lord has called us to Love (see Ephesians 4:1-2) and to live worthy of the calling we have received. A time to abandon the old ways and the “norm” of today’s culture. To adjust from those ways, a prayer I’ve been praying and invite you to join me is “Lord have your way, adjust my lens the way you want me to see your beauty and the things of this world. I ask you to guide me as I refocus my eyes and my heart towards you Father.”

It was great to write to you all. There is another blog coming out soon of those updates that everyone is eager to hear/the ones i’m eager to share :))) Thanks for reading, love you all!

With Peace,

JP
