All About Me Blog | Josh Pohl
Yo! What’s going on everybody?!
For those of you who don’t know me my name is Josh Pohl, but you can call me JP! Welcome to this fascinating journey where I start blogging; honestly i’m stoked to see what’s to come but first let’s hang in the moment and live each day as its best.
There’s one question that many ask me, “who is Josh?” What a question to ponder on, right? Isn’t it so crazy how time truly flies by- yesterday felt like freshman year and next month i’m graduating! Can’t wait to hop into that virtual call to grab my diploma, as it’s going to for sure look different for class of 2020. Just keeping my head up and remembering there’s much more to come for class of 2020!
One thing I learned this year from the many is to step out of the culture. What I mean from that is to go outside the box. To do something you don’t see anyone else is doing; another great way to put it is to go and do what’s out of the norm. This past year I got the honor in coming alongside my lunch ladies and help them serve hundreds of students. Truly a blessing in disguise.
Quick shoutout to my fam! My mom and dad are the best and take less credit then they deserved, they work hard to support the family and cannot express my gratitude enough (MUCH LOVE GUYS!!) I got two brothers- Noah and Ethan leaving me the middle child. As annoying they can be I am truly grateful for them.
A huge part of me is my faith, so I’d love to share a little about how that came to be. Fast tracking a bit to my freshman year where it all start to align for me. Where my relationship with the Lord really progressed from being plugged into my local youth group, Young Life. I’m now leading a group of the gnarliest 7th grade guys ever and it’s amazing to be able to spread God’s Love and dive deep into His word together. Like I said my faith and relationship with the Lord is a super important part of me, and I am the person I am today because His Love is SO great. This past year I really got to know the Lord a little bit more and felt His presence, and I discovered what He has called me to do: expand His Kingdom and make an impact within the youth.
I hope you got to learn about me a little bit more by reading this. I am extremely excited for this journey and will be posting about every two to three weeks before launch.
Have the best day ever!
Josh Pohl “JP”
